Shop for the Cause 2: Help for Haiti Fundraiser Sale

Saturday, Jan. 23rd, my friend Lisa and I went to the Help for Haiti fundraiser sale organized by Nathalie-Roze & Co., held at Queen East Presbyterian Church in Leslieville. The event raised over $13,500 to be donated to the Red Cross for relief for the Haiti earthquake disaster. The Red Cross is matching all donations.

There was clothing and jewellery donated by local designers and vintage shops, a silent auction, delicious baked goods and other knicknacs. See pics from the event below.

My friend Lisa.

Volunteer/co-organizer, Laura.

Yum yum!

Hustle and bustle. The place was packed!

I've included pics below of the sweet finds from the sale! It's great when you can shop and you know that all the proceeds are going towards an important cause.

Ransack the Universe at 69 Vintage

Check out these adorable hair clips and brooches they're selling at Ransack the Universe (located in the basement of 69 Vintage at 1207 Bloor St. West - get off at Lansdowne Station). They are made by a local artist Emily (of ArgyleAcorn). Visit her Etsy store here and follow her on Twitter here!

There are tons more where these came from though I do feel these ones are the gems of the bunch! They make for super sweet gifts on any occasion. The 1940's aura they evoke will make any woman feel glamourous while wearing one!

(The brooches are the red ones!)

You may visit Ransack the Universe online at their Facebook page or Official Website. Thank you Michelle and Jess for providing me with the artist info for my blog!
